While it’s true that most actors need structure, direction, and technique, we often forget that sometimes actors just want to play. That’s why we created Saturday Sandbox, a place for actors to just have fun doing whatever the heck they want!

What exactly is 

Saturday Sandbox?

Offered every Saturday at noon, the Sandbox is an online playground where actors can come together as a community to explore their creativity, talk through the tough things about being an actor, or just indulge their inner drama geek without the pressures of grown-up responsibilities. It's a time to fill your artistic well! Whoever shows up decides what will be done. It might be improv one week. Maybe a discussion about agents and managers next. Or audition prep. Whatever’s on your mind is fair game.

And who's in charge of all this?

NESW Founder and professional actor Michael Hegarty will be there to guide the group, offer inspiration when actors aren't sure what to do next, and ensure that the Sandbox is a fun, positive, safe place to play. But the actors are in charge of what they need week to week! You can drop in whenever you like, as often as you like. The Sandbox is open every Saturday at noon. All you need is the link.
